Life Cycle Associates presents at California Biomass Workshop
Life Cycle Associates is excited to participate in the upcoming California Biomass Workshop. The event is hosted by the UC Davis Policy Institute for Energy, Environment, and the Economy in collaboration with the Conservation Strategy Group.
When: January 31, 2024
Where: Citizen Hotel in Sacramento
Focus of the California Biomass Workshop
The workshop aims to tackle California’s pressing wood waste crisis and explore sustainable solutions for reducing wildfires, supporting rural economies, and achieving carbon neutrality by 2045
California is currently facing a wood waste challenge that is expected to worsen as the state intensifies forest treatments to meet the Governor’s target of treating one million acres annually by 2025. According to estimates by IBank, over 80% of wood residues are left to degrade in place, contributing to carbon and air pollution and posing an ongoing wildfire threat to communities.
Meet Life Cycle Associates at the California Biomass Workshop
Life Cycle Associates recognizes the urgency of addressing this vital resource management challenge and is committed to contribute to the discussions that can drive rural and tribal economic development, non-combustion technology innovation, and greenhouse gas emissions reductions.
Life Cycle Associates looks forward to engaging with stakeholders, sharing expertise, and contributing to the collective effort to address California’s wood waste crisis.
Join us at the Networking Reception starting at 4:15 p.m. to continue the conversation and explore potential collaborations. Contact us, if you would like to schedule a personal meeting ahead of time.
