Kathleen Dailey speaks at the Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Seminar 2023
Kathleen Dailey from Life Cycle Associates will be speaking at the Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Seminar 2023 in Long Beach, California. This conference is the most established hydrogen energy and fuel cell conference in the United States, bringing together hundreds of hydrogen and fuel cell manufacturers, fuel providers, federal, state, and international policy makers.
Kathleen Dailey has performed life cycle greenhouse gas analyses for advanced alternative fuel pathways and sustainable product producers. She maintains knowledge and expertise on emerging technologies and federal regulations. In this session, Ms. Dailey will be providing insights on options for sustainable aviation fuel and hydrogen’s role in achieving a low carbon future.
Where: Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center, Long Beach, Room 103-A/B
When: February 9, 2023 from 15:45 – 17:45pm
Topic: High in the Sky with Low CI Hydrogen
Event Info: https://www.fuelcellseminar.com
Renewable fuels are gaining importance as an alternative source of fuel due to their renewability, chemical properties, and lower life cycle emissions. The aviation industry’s global greenhouse gas emissions are approximately 2.1% of the global share, and the airline industry is committed to carbon neutral growth and cutting carbon dioxide emissions in half by 2050.
Sustainable aviation fuels are critical to achieve these targets, with hydrogen playing an important role in the production of aviation fuels. During the Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Seminar 2023, Ms. Dailey will discuss:
- Options to produce SAF and how hydrogen boosting can help expand SAF production
- Applicability of Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) provisions, specifically of the clean hydrogen PTC under Section 45V
- How GHG analysis through the GREET model can help producers determine their carbon intensity for the IRA and the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS)
